Registration for the 2020 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is now open. The event will take place on May 17, 2020. Runners can register now for the marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, half marathon relay or 5K. The event has become a tradition for people of all ages over the last 20 years.
Some changes are on tap for the 2020 event. Start and finish lines will be returning to the stadium district and the Cellcom Green Bay 5K will now take place on the same day as the distance events – Sunday, May 17. All of the events on Sunday will include a signature lap around Lambeau Field. Saturday’s events will include the one-day Prevea Health & Fitness Expo and packet pick-up at Lambeau Field and a kids’ event at Capital Credit Union Park, home of the Green Bay Booyah.
Additional details for the kids’ event along with registration for the event will be announced at a later date.
The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon will once again offer resources and support to help get runners to the finish line. The event’s health partner Prevea offers training plans for each of the distances and free training runs every Saturday starting in January.
Runners can also register for the Run for a Reason program, which allows runners to raise funds for the marathon’s charity partners in exchange for a free entry into the marathon or half marathon. Participants must raise $300 to receive their free entry. Over the past 20 years, the non-profit event has generated over $1.5 million in proceeds for local charities.
Registration is tiered based on bib quantities and will automatically increase when a pricing tier has been filled. Runners looking for the lowest available price, should register now.
